September 8 is celebrated to be Mama Mary’s birth which is exactly nine months after the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. We celebrated Mama Mary’s birthday at the Holy ground of Ulaliman, El Salvador City where the image of the Divine Mercy has stood 50 foot high.

Mama Mary’s 2011 birthday celebration started with a procession at 2am where devotees came all over the Philippines. Thereafter, the mass has started but before that the birthday celebration was welcomed by Fr. Val and with a birthday song from the Church choir.

The demand for power in Mindanao is constantly increasing, however, no significant additional power generating capacities are expected within the next two to three years to address this problem.The power reserves are insufficient that even during the rainy month of July 2011, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) had to resort to load curtailment when one of the National Power Corporation’s (NPC) generating facilities conked out. The current Mindanao generation mix is still heavily dependent on the hydro plants, which are very vulnerable to changes in weather condition.

It’s the 3rd year of SM’s Pyrolympics held at SM Las Ramblas Parking area last August 26, 2011. There were 7 contingents from all over Philippines (Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro and more) competing for the Kagay-an PyroFestival 2011. A lot of Kagay-anons were excited and awaited the 3rd Pyrolympics in Cagayan de Oro City and most us expected the heavy traffic as experienced in the last two pyrolympics.

Canon Photomarathon 2011, 1st in Cagayan de Oro on its regional leg

I have just recently joined the CANON Photo marathon 2011 which was ended yesterday at Limketkai, Cagayan de Oro City. Canon photo marathon has started six years ago and it was just this year that they have it in regional. In Mindanao leg, they choose Cagayan de Oro since a lot of photographers/hobbyist have materialize in the city of Golden Friendship. Students from different schools, professionals from different companies have joined the said event. The goal for this is to gather canon users all over Mindanao.

Boredom hits while traveling to Olongapo City

When traveling first flight, 6am from cagayan de oro city, all you could think of is sleep. I`ve slept before the airplane skids to th sky and after hitting the runway when we arrived in manila. The next thing I could think of was eat. Though I had coffee, brewed i.e., I still think of sleeping. When finally I had enough sleep there it was the so called boredom. It hit me when there`s nothing to do. A scenery would have been great to the eyes but all I could only see green grass landscape, less people, few houses just mountaneous scenery. So there just like a bulb why not take pictures…
