Angel Carbajal, 20 years old, from Cugman was crowned as Miss Cagayan de Oro 2011. A student from Capitol University has also bagged the special awards and its worth:

Jamie Joy Bantigue, 20 years old, from Libona, Bukidnon was crowned as the 1st runner up/Ms. Kagay-an Tourism in Miss Cagayan de Oro 2011 pageant. A student from MUST (Mindanao University of Science and Technology) bagged the 9 special awards:

- ABS-CBN Kapamilya Star of the Night
- Best in Talent
- Miss Sunsilk
- Best in Evening Gown
- Ms. Creamsilk Stunning Shine

“I am a woman with a great substance”
I am Jamie Joy Amper Bantigue, 19 years of age and I am currently taking up Bachelor in Elementary Education Major in Special Education at Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST).
I was handedly raised by my mother, Ms. Merle Sy Amper being a single parent. I am very happy that without my father’s support, my mama chose to raise me by her own and that led me to become who I am at this juncture.
Back then, i really dreamed of becoming a beauty queen. But that dream of mine appeared to be so vague at first since I didn’t have enough self-esteem and the spirit to face a swarm of people. But then, I was encouraged by my high school friends and teachers to join a pageant in our school. Unexpectedly, I came home with a big smile on my face for I was able to bring home the crown as Ms. Liceo de Cagayan University High School 2007. With that, I represented our department and luckily, I garnered the 1st runner-up spot in the Search for Ms. Liceo de Cagayan University Intramural on the same year.
To think that I was very novice that time, I began to delve deeper into the thought of joining another pageant to harness myself even more. Why not? And so… My pageant life went on… I joined the Search for Ms. Patag CDO 2008 and ranked as 1st runner-up bringing home much awards both major and minor ones. That was quite a great fight for me. However, life didn’t stop there. I craved for more of it since I considered pageant as an integral part of my life. So, I competed in the Search for Ms. Silka Northern Mindanao 2009. This was the first pageant ever wherein I was not able to grab any minor and major award yet I was still included in the Top 5 finalists and proved the whole crowed that I still have what it takes to be the winner and as destined, I ranked as 1st runner-up all over again considering the other pageant, Ms. Taguitic 2009 wherein I got the same spot with lots of awards that time. Life was indeed, so good to me when I bested 11 other candidates and reigned as Ms. Teen Consolacion 2009 and paved the way for a huge opportunity for me. Fortunately, I was given the chance to compete for Laga Ta Bukidnon 2010 (Ms. Kaamulan) and represented the Municipality of Libona. Out of high expectations from my friends and supporters, good thing I brought home the most coveted crown that night. To God be all the glory!
After such momentous event, I was actually curtailed for joining any other pageant lower than my present title. So I tried to enter the Modeling world and met several prominent people and designers. At present, I am an in-house model of Sophie Martin Paris and a freelance model.
See? Life is indeed, what we make it! What you just have to do is to delight your very self to the Lord and He will eventually grant all the desires of your heart.
Now, I like her, she is a woman with strong personality that faces and choose to challenge life’s vigor.
